Ernesto Yanome (Early Childhood)

My name is Ernesto Yanome Villalpando, most commonly known as Mr. Ernie around school. I am an alumni and graduated from ASFG in 1993 and started working at the school in 1995. I have been working as PE teacher for 10 years now in the Early Childhood section. I have also worked in all other sections, as PE teacher and also as Soccer Coach. I am an undergraduate with a degree in Business Administration, and a certificate from CONADE in Physical Education.

I have 2 boys that attend ASFG, I enjoy traveling every time I get the chance to do so, and I also enjoy attending every concert that I can, I have been a musician for many years and a music fan and collector. I love working with kids here at school and I am sure this will be another great year for all of us.

Oswaldo Vazquez (Elementary)

I am Mr. Ozzy. I have been at ASFG for 12 years. I graduate from the Universidad de Guadalajara in Licenciatura en Cultura Fisica y Deportes and also graduated from the Masters  in Education from Framingham State College. The last 10 years I have been teaching P.E. in the Elementary School section. I like my classes to be creative and fun. I enjoy being part of ASFG!

Jorge Aguilar (Elementary)

This is my 10th year teaching at ASFG as P.E teacher and Volleyball coach. I graduated as Licenciado en Cultura Fisica y Deportes and recently finish a Master’s Degree in Gestation Deportiva.  My passion is to play volleyball and read books about sports administration. Spending time with my family is one of the most important things that I like to do. This year I will enjoy teaching again in Elementary School and as coordinator and coach of the co-curricular volleyball program after school.

I love interaction with children to increase their physical aptitudes and develop an active live-style.

Luis Raul Rodriguez (Middle School)

I graduated from Escuela Superior de Educacion Fisica in Guadalajara. I have been working at ASFG for 5 years as a basketball coach. This year I will be teaching P.E. in Middle School,  Basketball Coordinator in the Cocurricular Program and will be coaching 2 teams: Mini Varonil & Juvenil Varonil. I play basketball and enjoy watching all sports.

Alejandro Dueñas (Middle School)

I have been a PE teacher at ASFG for 15 years.  I graduated from Escuela Superior de Educacion Fisica in Guadalajara. I studied Oceanography and Physical Therapy and I also have a master’s degree in education. My favorite sports are basketball and flag-football and I enjoy most other sports. I like helping and motivating people to work and train towards healthier lifestyles. I am a certified Wellness Program Coordinator and I understand the need for balance in all aspects of our day to day activities and lives.  As a PE teacher I encourage students to have an active life-style as well as reinforce values through sports and fitness.  My family and I enjoy being at the beach whenever we can and my other hobbies are reading and scuba diving.

Mariano Cortese (High School)

I am from Argentina and have been working at ASFG for 7 years. This year I will be teaching P.E.  in High School, Soccer Coordinator in the after school program as well as coach for the 2002 and 1999 soccer teams and the M.S. Girls Team. I love to read, play soccer and tennis.

Alejandro Garza (High School and Athletic Director)

I am from Monterrey, N.L. and I graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon as  Licenciado de Organización Deportiva. I have been at ASFG for 4 years and worked as a basketball coach at the American Institute of Monterrey for 7 years.

Working at ASFG has been the most beautiful experience in my professional life because I have been able to meet excellent people and had the opportunity to interact with students who make me feel as an important part of their life.   I enjoy exercise, going to the movies and cooking on the weekends.

Patricia de la Torre (Office Manager)

This is my 18th year at ASFG. I was the Middle School Principal´s Assistant for 8 years and I had  the best experience  working with a wonderful team.  I moved to the P.E. Office 4 years ago and it was also a nice change. I love interacting with parents and of course I enjoy being in touch with the kids who like exercise.  I believe that working with kids gives me energy and makes my job a fun place to work. My favorite activities are jogging, dancing and of course spending time with my family and friends.
